CySA+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is seeking IT security professionals who have experience working in the field of cyber security to be involved in a Cut Score workshop for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification exam.

During the Cut Score workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will determine and set the passing standard for the certification exam, and will create, develop, and review items for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) exam.

Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing industry relevant certifications. Potential CySA+ SMEs must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in one or more of the following IT security fields: data analysis and response, risk management, penetration testing, compliance and auditing, and incident response including attack identification. Certifications in these areas are desired but not required.
  • It is preferred that potential candidates hold a bachelor's degree in one of these fields, are Security+ certified, or hold equivalent or higher credentials.

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

  • An honorarium of $200 per day (or $1,000 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
  • 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
  • A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Cut Score workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

When: February 13-17, 2023
Where: Virtual Workshop

Only professionals currently working in one of the above fields should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers/teachers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
