PenTest+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is seeking IT professionals with expertise in the field of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and management, or a related field to be involved in a virtual Item Writing workshop for our CompTIA PenTest+ certification exam.

During the Item Writing workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will create, develop, and review item content (questions) for the CompTIA PenTest+ Certification exam.

Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. Potential SMEs must have:

  • At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with penetration testing, and/or vulnerability assessment and management.
  • It is preferred that SMEs hold the CompTIA PenTest+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and/or OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), or similar penetration testing or vulnerability assessment & management certification (or an equivalent/higher credential).

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

  • An honorarium of $200 per day (or $800 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
  • 32 continuing education credits (CEUs)
  • A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Item Writing workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

When: June 13-16, 2022
Where: Virtual workshop

Only professionals working in one of the fields above should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
