CompTIA Data Systems Beta Exam

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is looking for qualified individuals for help in the developing and maintaining of a new data systems certification through a beta exam. Input from data administrators working in the field is crucial to our ability to develop relevant and up-to-date exam content.

The target audience for the new certification includes the following individuals:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on Database Administrator (DBA) experience
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing data in one or more data systems so that a user can perform analysis for business operations
  • Managing data storage, organization, presentation, utilization, and analysis from a technical perspective
  • May specialize in database queries, database theory, database design, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL, structured query language (SQL), e.g. SQL/PSM or Transact-SQL
  • May work with specialized software to store and organize data

Job Roles include:

  • Database Administrator (DBA)

If you pass the beta exam, you will earn the new CompTIA data systems certification. Please note that results will not be available until when the exam launches in Summer 2023.
