Continuing Education Renewal Fees

You must pay your Continuing Education (CE) fees before renewing your certification(s). Fee due dates are based on your CE renewal cycle, not the calendar year.

Leading up to your certification expiration date, you will periodically receive automated email reminders alerting you to upload your CEU documentation. If you don’t know your expiration date, log in here.

Easy Payment

CompTIA uses PayPal for CE fee payment processing, and you can pay in one of two ways:

  • Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express)
  • Current PayPal account

Note: You do not need a PayPal account to pay with a credit or debit card.

Renewal Activities That Do Not Require CE Fees

You do not need to pay CE fees if you choose one of these renewal options:

Note: CE Fees are not waived if the higher-level CompTIA certification does not fully renew the lower-level certification.

Renewing Multiple CompTIA Certifications

You’ll only need to pay the CE fees for your highest-level CompTIA certification. When you renew a higher-level certification, your lower-level certifications will automatically renew without paying additional fees.

Note: CE Fees are not waived if the higher-level CompTIA certification does not fully renew the lower-level certification.

CE Tokens

Department of Defense (DoD) components and qualifying enterprise-level organizations may purchase bulk tokens from CompTIA that can be used by employees to pay their annual CE fees. For more information, email cetokensdod@comptia.org.
