Awards honour individuals and organisations for their leadership, commitment to diversity and innovation in the IT industry
SYDNEY – Four individuals and four technology companies who have demonstrated strong leadership, a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and innovation in the industry are the winners of the 2024 Australia and New Zealand Spotlight Awards presented by the CompTIA Community, the membership arm of CompTIA, the nonprofit trade association and leading IT certification provider for the industry and its workforce.
“The winners of the 2024 CompTIA Community ANZ Spotlight Awards represent the top tech leaders and innovators across the region,” said MJ Shoer, chief community officer, CompTIA.
“We are proud to recognise those who have demonstrated excellence in growing and furthering the industry through their continued commitments to thought leadership, engagement and diversity, equity and inclusion,” Shoer continued. :The awards are a highlight of our annual event calendar for our member regions, honouring those who work tirelessly to advance the global tech community.”
Award winners and finalists were honoured at a dinner that followed the CompTIA Community ANZ meeting here Wednesday. The winners are:
ANZ Future Leader Award: Raymond McCullagh, Senior Consultant, Avocado Consulting, for his success and innovation in advancing the technology industry.
Runner-up: Callum Simpson, SSW
ANZ Advancing Women in Technology Leadership Award: Amy Kitson, Marketing Manager, Avocado Consulting, for her strong leadership and significant contributions as an advocate for women in technology.
Runner-up: Vanessa Sunassee, MyCISO
ANZ Community Leadership Award: David Norris, CEO, Nortec IT, for his service and impact as an advocate and role model in advancing the technology industry.
Runner-up: Maria Armstrong, Pax8
ANZ Cybersecurity Leadership Award: Aaron Jacobs, Senior Global Solutions Engineer, Sophos, for his outstanding leadership and engagement in providing cybersecurity expertise and strengthening cybersecurity resilience within the technology industry.
Runner-up: Elliot Seeto, Pax8
ANZ Advancing Diversity in Technology Leadership Award: CyberCX, for its positive impacts in advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within the technology industry.
Runner-up: Pax8
ANZ Solution Provider Award: Avocado Consulting, for its strong leadership and innovation in advancing the technology industry.
Runner-up: Phriendly Phishing
ANZ Innovative Vendor Award: Huntress, for its pioneering approach to creating solutions within the technology industry.
Runners-up: iasset.com and MyCISO
ANZ Innovative Distributor Award: NEXTGEN Group, for its significant impact in innovating and growing the technology industry.
Runner-up: Pax8
Members of the CompTIA Community’s ASEAN, Benelux, DACH, North America and UK and Ireland regional groups, along with a member of the CompTIA Community Workforce Advisory Council, served as judges for the 2024 ANZ Spotlight Awards.
