‘UK Legal Playbook’ provides broad introduction to best practices for small businesses
LONDON – CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the information technology (IT) industry and workforce, today released the UK Legal Playbook as part of its ongoing efforts to support its growing membership of managed service providers in the United Kingdom.
“We anticipate CompTIA UK members will find the UK Legal Playbook valuable to their businesses’ overall health and security,” said Courtney Fong, chief operating officer at CompTIA. “The UK Legal Playbook gives members a vocabulary for conversations with their solicitors, as well as specific issues to consider when seeking legal representation for their businesses’ unique needs.”
The UK Legal Playbook, which was developed by CompTIA Education, is designed to serve as a resource to help tech companies navigate the complicated and expensive process of managing the legal aspects of running a technology business in the U.K.
Sections in the playbook include:
Each section provides expert explanations or key terms and concepts, concrete best practices when appropriate, and vital details for business owners and executives who are not legal professionals.
“This playbook will be an essential resource for our members as they continue to grow and expand their technology businesses in the U.K,” said M.J. Shoer, chief community officer at CompTIA. “Navigating business law can be challenging and CompTIA is here to help our members succeed by providing them the support and tools they need.”
Publication of the UK Legal Playbook follows the release of the Marketing Toolkit for MSPs and the Legal Resources for Tech SMBs (in the U.S.).
The UK Legal Playbook is available exclusively to CompTIA members and can be accessed by visiting my.CompTIA.org, the association’s members-only web portal. For information on joining CompTIA, please visit Connect.CompTIA.org or email Membership@comptia.org.
