Sessions will explore how channel businesses and professionals in tech can identify and overcome the latest cybersecurity threats
LONDON – Technology businesses and professionals can gain insights into recognizing and overcoming the latest cybersecurity threats during the 2024 CompTIA EMEA Member and Partner Conference presented by CompTIA, the nonprofit trade association and leading IT certification provider for the industry and its workforce. The annual conference, happening 21-22 Oct. in London, gives IT businesses and professionals opportunities to network with peers and learn how to solve the latest industry challenges.
This year’s cybersecurity sessions will explore how channel businesses can embed cybersecurity into their culture, how they should approach risk management and how they can identify and respond to security threats. Session will also explore topics such as data classification, access control, artificial intelligence (AI), cybercrime and more.
“We are excited to offer a robust agenda that will provide our members with strategies to protect and improve their technology businesses, and best practices to drive productivity and sales, as well as the opportunity to connect with and learn from other leaders in the industry,” said MJ Shoer, chief community officer, CompTIA. “The member-led sessions and workshops at the CompTIA EMEA Member and Partner Conference are a prime opportunity for MSPs, tech vendors and distributors to gain fresh insights to help make them more successful in the IT channel.”
The conference’s agenda is organized into five educational tracks to help participants maximize their experience:
Tech Talent
Networking
Community Insights
Cybersecurity
Learning Lounge
The cybersecurity track includes three workshops aligned with CompTIA’s Cybersecurity Trustmark, which offers a path for CompTIA Community solution provider members who are looking to differentiate themselves by adhering to this industry standard of controls and providing an accreditation certification designating they have met or exceeded the standard set forth by their industry peers. There are currently over 1,250 MSPs from 37 countries registered through the CompTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark, with just over 200 actively working through the program.
The workshops are included at no additional cost as part of event registration, and will explore culture and strategy, risk management and data.
“Culture & Strategy” – Learn how to embed cybersecurity into your culture and how that shift in thinking can benefit your approach to the Cybersecurity Trustmark.
“Risk Management” – Take an immersive dive into the world of business risk for MSPs.
“What is Data?” - Explore the various types of data in an organization, the risk associated with each type and what to do if a company accidently receives data it shouldn’t have.
